AI video canvas for node-based shot planning

Some creators think in boards, not in a single prompt box. They want to see the cast next to the scene card, drag a still into a clip, and keep trying one shot without restarting the whole episode.

The AlphaDrama canvas is that workspace: an infinite board where text, image and video nodes connect. You plan on the canvas, spend credits only when a node generates, and move finished cast and shots into the studio when you are ready.

Example: Board a 15s opener: text beat "wine hits the gown", cast still of Emma, place still of the gala hall, then a low-angle video node that rides those two images.

Nodes instead of one long prompt

Each card is a job. A text node holds a scene or a shot table. An image node locks a face or a place. A video node turns upstream stills and lines into a clip. Lines between cards tell the model what to reuse, so the same person does not drift between attempts.

  • Drop a script table when you want one row per shot
  • Pin cast and place images before you animate
  • Regenerate one card without wiping the rest of the board

What you pay for, and what you do not

Arranging the board is free. Credits start when a node asks a model for text, a still or a clip. You see a price hint on the generate bar before you spend, the same way the episode pipeline shows cost before render.

From freeform canvas to a studio episode

When the cast and key shots look right, gather them into a studio project for voice-over, assembly and MP4 export. The canvas stays as your scratch board; the episode is where finishing work happens.

  • Keep exploring looks on the canvas without locking an episode yet
  • Reuse the same cast nodes across several clip experiments
  • Hand off only what you want dubbed and exported

When to use the canvas instead of Autopilot

Use Autopilot when you want a guided pass from brief to shots. Use the canvas when you already know the beats, need to A/B two looks, or want to wire product photos into a short ad board before you commit to a full episode.

Drama boards and product boards on the same surface

The same node types cover both. A drama board might be script table → cast → place → shot videos. A product board might be selling points → product stills → hook clip → close-up clip. You are not switching products; you are switching how you wire the cards.

How it works

  1. Start with a story or a product

Paste a chapter, an outline or a one-line idea. For an ad, add product photos or a product link.

  2. We cast, storyboard and voice it

Characters get fixed looks, scenes get sets, and the script is split into shots with voices and captions.

  3. Review the price, then export

You see the cost before any video renders. Export a 9:16 file for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Frequently asked questions

Is the canvas a separate product?

No. It is a workspace inside AlphaDrama. You sign in once and open Canvas from the studio sidebar.

Do I need to finish on the canvas?

No. Use it to plan and try shots. Voice-over, captions and final export still happen in the studio episode flow.

Can I connect my own uploads?

Yes. Upload stills or pull from your library into image nodes, then wire them into video nodes as references.

How is this different from the storyboard step?

The episode storyboard is a linear shot list inside a project. The canvas is freeform: cards you can rearrange, reconnect and regenerate one at a time.
